Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency Regular Board Meeting February 13th, 2024 Chairman Keith Zediker called the meeting to order at 9:33 am. Present: Keith Zediker, Kirk Rose, Becky Miller, Ryan Clark, Chad Carrier, Manager Logan Persinger, Secretary/Board Secretary Amanda Yanak Approval of Minutes: Board meeting minutes from January 11th, 2024 were presented by A. Yanak. R. Clark made a motion to accept the minutes. B. Miller seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. No further discussion. Treasurers Report: Expenditures and CD’s were reviewed. In January, expenditures equalled $78,482.56 and deposits equalled $125,120.97. C.Carrier made a motion to accept the financial statement and CD’s as proposed. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Secretary’s Report: A. Yanak stated that a certified letter was mailed out on January 30th, 2024. There has been no response from the past due account. A. Yanak stated that the Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency was approved for the ICAP Grant. Discussion was held about applying for the Monona County Community Partnership Grant that is Due March 1st, 2024. Manager’s Report: L. Persinger stated that the new office is complete and everything has been moved in. L. Persinger stated that the new policies have been placed. The tarp policy, gate policy, and the out of area policy went into effect February 1st, 2024. L. Persinger presented the bid from HLW Engineering for the annual inspection for the Transfer Station and the SDP Permit. C. Carrier made a motion to accept the bid. B. Miller seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman K. Zediker adjourned the meeting at 10:16 a.m. Next meeting is Tuesday March 12th, 2024 @ 9:30 a.m. These minutes are subject to change at the next meeting.
