Charter Oak-Ute Community School Board of Directors Regular Meeting April 10, 2024 The Board of Directors of the Charter Oak-Ute School met on the above date in the Charter Oak Center with Directors Weed, McAndrews, Klinker, Hadden, Amunson, Superintendent Eggeling and Secretary Carstens were present. President Weed called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Klinker to approve the board agenda as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Klinker, seconded by Hadden to approve the consent items. Ayes all. Motion carried. Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting on March 13, 2024 Approval of the Minutes of the Joint Meeting on March 13, 2024 Approval of the Minutes of the Special Meeting on April 3, 2024 Approval of the Minutes of the Proposed Tax Notice Public Hearing on April 3. 2024 Fundraising Approvals All Financial Reports Invoices for Payment Superintendent Eggeling discussed audit, summer school, summer food program, employment, state testing, ESSA, April 16 speaker, field trips, security grant, building repairs and stem grant. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Hadden to approve the Cooperative Purchasing Agreement for 2024-2025. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Hadden, seconded by Klinker to accept the resignation letter from Crysta Gierstorf. Ayes all. Motion carried. The board discussed the purchase of a van. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Hadden to approve the purchase from feld security with 5 year license with the security grant. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Amunson, seconded by McAndrews to approve the additional driving agreement with Fred Jepsen retroactive to March 1, 2024. Ayes all. Motion carried. The board discussed future items: staff handbooks, summer school, teacher contracts, classified agreements and administration contracts. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Klinker to enter into exempt session for the purpose of negotiating sessions at 5:57 p.m. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Klinker to exit exempt session at 6:37 p.m. Ayes all. Motion carried. There being no further business it was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Hadden to adjourn the meeting at 6:38 p.m. Ayes all. Motion carried.
