MONONA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING APRIL 2, 2024 The Monona County Board of Supervisors met in special session at 8:00 a.m. o’clock on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in the boardroom of the courthouse in Onawa, Monona County, Iowa with Chairman Fox presiding. Other, Supervisors present: Tom Brouillette. Supervisor Absent: Vincent Phillips. Also, present was Auditor Peggy A. Rolph. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to approve the agenda. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox and Brouillette. Nays: None. Motion carried. At 8:05 a.m., motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to open the public hearing for the FY 2025 Proposed Property Tax Levy. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox and Brouillette, Nays: None. Motion carried. Present for the public hearing were David Radke, Chief Deputy Assessor Sharon Gries, Treasurer Abby Riesberg, Wray Wright, Rachel Wright, Leana Shull, Bob Steiner and Sheriff Kevin Ewing arriving at 8:20 a.m. The proposed property tax levy was discussed, no action needed. At 8:34 a.m., motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to close the public hearing for the FY 2025 Proposed Property Tax Levy. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox and Brouillette. Nays: None. Motion carried. It was moved by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Fox to hereby adjourn at the hour of 8:35 a.m. o’clock.
