City of Ute SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING September 13, 2023 – City Hall 7:30pm Wednesday The Ute City Council met with Mayor Richard Hageman in special, open session on September 13, 2023. Council Members present: Becky Miller, Ryan Pithan, Jimmy Carlson, Matt Leitz, Josh Gotto. Also present: Public Works Superintendent Lonnie Carlson, Acting City Clerk Megan Peitsch, Jan Larsen Motion by Gotto/Leitz to approve the agenda. All ayes. MC Motion by Leitz/Pithan to approve the appointment of Megan Peitsch to Acting City Clerk effective immediately. All Ayes. MC Motion by Gotto/JCarlson to approve the following outstanding bills: Windstream (Phone/Internet) $1293.07, Windstream (Phone/Internet) $1016.62, Iowa DNR (Annual Public Water Supply Fee) $37.19, Iowa League of Cities (Membership Dues) $408.00, Lonnie Carlson (Reimburse Conference Expenses) $280.47. All ayes. MC Motion by JCarlson/Gotto to approve RESOLUTION 2023-29 AUTHORITY TO OPEN ACCOUNT(S), TO DEPOSIT AND WITHDRAW FUNDS, AND TO OPEN AND HAVE ACCESS TO SAFE DEPOSIT BOX(ES) AT COMMUNITY BANK. All ayes. MC Motion by Leitz/Gotto to approve the renewal of SIMPCO membership and Clerk was directed to pay dues. All ayes. MC Discussion on City Clerk job description and job listing.
