City of Ute REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING Monday, July 10, 2023 – City Hall 7:00 p.m. The Ute City Council met with Mayor Hageman in regular, open session on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 7pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall with the following council members present: Jimmy Carlson, Josh Gotto, Matt Leitz, Becky Miller, Ryan Pithan. Also Present: City Clerk Leah Schwery, Public Works Superintendent Lonnie Carlson. The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Mayor Hageman. Motion by Pithan, seconded by Miller to approve the agenda. All ayes. MC Motion by Leitz, second by Pithan to approve Resolution fixing date for a meeting on the proposition to authorize a Loan Agreement and the issuance of Notes to evidence the obligations of the City thereunder not to exceed $809,000 Water Revenue Capital Loan Notes. All ayes. MC Motion by Pithan, second by JCarlson to approve Resolution making award of construction contracts to Maguire Iron and King Construction. All ayes. MC. Motion by Pithan, second by Gotto to approve change order 1 for Maguire Iron. All ayes. MC Motion by Pithan, second by Gotto to approve change order 1 for King Construction. All ayes. MC Mayor’s Report: Building permits approved – Kenny Amunson Driveway, Ralph Goslar Cement Pad, Meghann Sudsbury House Addition. Lonnie Carlson spoke on the trees at the park and discussion over the trade-in of the City truck. Motion by Pithan, second by Miller to approve Resolution 2023-21 – A Resolution to adopt a written employee policy handbook. All Ayes. MC Motion by Pithan, seconded by Leitz to approve Resolution 2023-22 – A Resolution setting salaries for employees of the City of Ute for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024. Ayes-Gotto, Leitz, Miller, Pithan. Nayes-None. Abstain- JCarlson. Triple C Pest Control mosquito spraying started Tuesday May 23rd just before dusk and will continue for 16 weeks, weather permitting. Nomination papers for the November 2023 Election are available at City Hall. Next Regular Meeting set for Monday, August 7, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall Motion by Pithan, seconded by Miller to adjourn.
