City of Ute REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING Monday, February 6, 2023 – City Hall 7:00 p.m. The Ute City Council met with Mayor Richard Hageman in regular, open session at 7:00pm on February 6, 2023 at Ute City Hall. Council members present: Ryan Pithan, Jimmy Carlson, Matt Leitz, Josh Gotto. Absent: Becky Miller. Also present Gary Goslar and Lonnie Carlson. Motion by Carlson/Pithan to approve the agenda. All Ayes. MC Fire Chief Gary Goslar reported that Jeremy Creese was promoted to Assistant Chief. Building Permits Approved: None. Lonnie discussed state bid assist and the allocation process for getting a new city truck through GM. Karl’s Chevrolet wasn’t going to start processing orders until March but Lonnie that he had spoken to Knoepfler Chevrolet and they could start the process right away but it would cost approximately $300-$400 more than going through Karl’s. Motion by Leitz/Gotto to order the city truck though Knoepfler Chevrolet. All Ayes. MC A bid was received from Cory Abbott for insulating and carsiding the walls at the Shelter House for $16,450.00. Motion by Gotto/Leitz to approve applying for MCCPF Grant to finish the Shelter House interior. All Ayes. MC Motion by Pithan/Carlson to approve the consent agenda. A. Minutes for January 9, 2023 Meeting B. Approval of January claims All Ayes. MC Motion by Pithan/Gotto to Set Public Hearing on Proposed Property Tax Levy to March 6, 2023, 7:00pm at City Hall. All Ayes. MC Motion by Pithan/Gotto to approve gWorks Quotation for the following Modules: Front Desk Standard for multi-users for $3,000.00 one-time cost, with $1,008.00 annual subscription and HR Hub for $1,000.00 one-time cost, with $1236.00 annual subscription. All Ayes. MC City Clean-up Days were discussed. Lonnie will contact CHN about container availability and set dates accordingly. Motion by Leitz/Gotto to approve Paint Iowa Beautiful Grant Application. All Ayes. MC Motion by Gotto/Pithan to approve CD Renewal with United Bank of Iowa with 3.8% interest for 11 months. All Ayes.
