CHARTER OAK-UTE COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 13, 2023 The Board of Directors of the Charter Oak-Ute School met on the above date in the Charter Oak Center with Directors Weed, Schultz, Klinker, McAndrews (via phone), Superintendent Eggeling and Secretary Carstens present. Director Goslar was absent. President Weed called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. It was moved by Schultz, seconded by Klinker to approve the Regular Meeting Agenda as presented. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Klinker, Seconded by McAndrews to approve the consent items. Ayes all. Motion carried. Approval of the Minutes of Regular Meeting on August 30, 2023 Fundraising Approvals All Financials Reports Invoices for Payment Superintendent Eggeling discussed early retirement payments, open enrollment preschoolers, grant for cameras, sub bus drivers, bus fleet, WICK and Radon testing. It was moved by Schultz, seconded by Klinker to approve the driver’s contract. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Schultz to approve the starting pay for hourly employees to $13.00 an hour and to give additional $1.50 raise to current hourly employees retroactive to 08/23/23. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Klinker, seconded by McAndrews to approve the operation sharing positions with MVAO for 2024-2025 school year. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Klinker, seconded by Schultz to approve the IDATP Bus Driver Testing Program. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Klinker to set the October Board Meeting on October 11, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. Ayes all. Motion carried. Board discussed future agenda items. There being no further business it was moved by Klinker, seconded by McAndrews to adjourn the meeting at 7:11 p.m. Ayes all. Motion carried.
