CHARTER OAK-UTE COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS JOINT MEETING MARCH 13, 2024 The Board of Directors of the Charter Oak-Ute Community School and Maple Valley-Anthon Oto Community School met on the above date in the Charter Oak-Ute Center. The Board of Directors from the Charter Oak-Ute Community Schools present was Weed, McAndrews, Klinker, Hadden, Amunson, Superintendent Eggeling, Principal Staley and Secretary Carstens were present. The Board of Directors from the Maple Valley-Anthon Oto Community School present was Wimmer, Hamann, Schram, Superintendent Thelander, Principal Armstead, Middle School Athletic Director Burger were present. Also present was Caralyn Henschen. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Weed and President Wimmer. The boards discussed the educational and extracurricular opportunities with current whole grade sharing arrangement, also discussed current operational sharing and weather cancellations. Jacob Burger and Jim Staley discussed the middle school athletics participation numbers and possible solutions. Andy Armstead discussed the Ram Walk on March 19th at 8:45 a.m. Superintendent Thelander stated the he was very thankful and appreciative that both boards have worked so well together. There being no further business it was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Hadden to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 p.m. Ayes all. Motion carried. President Wimmer adjourned the meeting.
