NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON DESIGNATION OF EXPANDED MONONA COUNTY URBAN RENEWAL AREA, AND ON PROPOSED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AMENDMENT Notice Is Hereby Given: That at 11 a.m., at the Monona County Courthouse, Onawa, Iowa, on November 21, 2023, there will be conducted a public hearing on the question of designating an expanded Monona County Urban Renewal Area (the “Urban Renewal Area”), pursuant to Chapter 403, Code of Iowa, by the addition of the property situated in Monona County, Iowa more particularly described as follows: All that Part of Lot One (1), which is located in the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter (NE¼ SE¼) of Section Three (3), Township Eighty-Three (83) North, Range Forty-Six (46) West of the 5th P.M. and all accretions thereto, containing 24.85 acres, more or less. And All of the public right-of-way of 225th Street beginning with at its dead-end and continuing east to and including its intersection with Park Loop; All of the public right-of-way of Park Loop beginning with its intersection with 225th Street on the north and continuing south to and including its intersection with Highway 175; and All of the public right-of-way of Highway 175 beginning with its intersection with Park Loop on the west and continuing east to and including its intersection with Highway K45. The subject matter of the public hearing will also include a proposed amendment to the urban renewal plan for the Urban Renewal Area covering the territory identified above, pursuant to Chapter 403, Code of Iowa, a copy of which amendment is on file for public inspection in the office of the County Auditor. The general scope of the proposed urban renewal plan, as more specifically described therein, includes the following: The proposed amendment to the urban renewal plan brings the property described above under the plan and makes it subject to the provisions of the plan. The amendment also authorizes the undertaking of a new urban renewal project in the Urban Renewal Area consisting of providing tax increment financing support to Main Street Rentals, LLC in connection with the development of a campground including cabins and a community building.
