Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency Regular Board Meeting September 8th, 2026 Chairman Keith Zediker called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. Present: Keith Zediker, Kirk Rose, Becky Miller, Marilyn Longlee, Ryan Clark Logan Persinger, Secretary/Board Secretary Amanda Yanak Approval of Minutes: Board meeting minutes from August 11th, 2026 were presented by A. Yanak. B. Miller made a motion to accept the minutes. R. Clark seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. No further discussion. Treasurer’s Report: A. Yanak presented the expenditures and CD’s were reviewed for September. In August, expenditures equaled $104,041.44 and deposits equaled $64,678.36. B. Miller made a motion to accept the financial statement and the CD’s and to renew the CD’s for 12 months at 3.4%. R. Clark seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Secretary Report: None Manager’s Report: L. Persinger provided an update on all recycling bins that have been pulled from all of the cities in the planning zone. The public is welcome to bring recycling to the transfer station at no cost. L. Persinger noted that Habben Enterprises has raised their rates for tire disposal from $345/ton to $355/ton. No auction was taken and rates for tires will stay the same at this time. L. Persinger stated the transfer station will no longer need an inspection per the IDNR. L. Persinger stated Bluestone Environmental Group will be doing testing at the Transfer Station later in September. Chairman K.
