Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency Regular Board Meeting October 8th, 2024 Chairman Keith Zediker called the meeting to order at 9:34 a.m. Present: Keith Zediker, Kirk Rose, Becky Miller, Charles Persinger, Manager Logan Persinger, Secretary/Board Secretary Amanda Yanak, Absent: Ryan Clark Approval of Minutes: Board meeting minutes from September 10th, 2024 were presented by A. Yanak. B. Miller made a motion to accept the minutes. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. No further discussion. Treasurer’s Report: Expenditures and CD’s were reviewed. In October, expenditures equaled $124,661.22 and deposits equaled $106,101.97. C. Persinger made a motion to accept the financial statement and CD’s as proposed. B. Miller seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. B. Miller made a motion to renew the one CD for 12 months at 3.6%. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Secretary’s Report: A.Yanak stated that the city mayors voted for Keith Zediker and Charles Persinger to serve on the Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency Board. The term is for three years and will end on September 30th, 2027. Yanak stated the Kelsey from Schroer and Associates conducted the FY 23/24 audit on September 30th, 2024. Kelsey will write up the report and it will be presented when completed. A. Yanak presented a Bank Resolution for Shelby County State Bank in Mapleton, IA to hold up to 1,400,000.00. B Miller made a motion. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. A. Yanak stated if money goes to a different bank or the bank has a name change a bank resolution will need to be completed. Manager’s Report: L. Persinger stated HLW Engineering will be at the Monona County Sanitary Landfill to complete some testing and at the Transfer Station inspection on Oct. 16th, 2024. Chairman K. Zediker adjourned the meeting at 10:02 a.m. Next meeting is Tuesday November 12th, 2024 @ 9:30 a.m. These minutes are subject to change at the next meeting.
