Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency Regular Board Meeting November 11th, 2025 Chairman Keith Zediker called the meeting to order at 9:27 a.m. Present: Keith Zediker, Kirk Rose, Becky Miller, Charles Persinger, Manager Logan Persinger, Secretary/Board Secretary Amanda Yanak, Absent: Ryan Clark Approval of Minutes: Board meeting minutes from October 14th, 2025 were presented by A. Yanak. C. Persinger made a motion to accept the minutes. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. No further discussion. Treasurer’s Report: A. Yanak presented the expenditures and CD’s were reviewed. In October, expenditures equaled $74,746.06 and deposits equaled $65,359.20. A. Yanak also stated one of the CD’s was renewed at 3.55% for five months. K. Rose made a motion to accept the financial statement and CD’s. B. Miller seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Manager’s Report: L. Persinger presented two bids for the purchase of two foam filled tires for the telehandler. RXC Tires for $10,836.00 and Heartland Tire for $10,406.36. After review and discussion, it was noted that RXC Tires is a local business and has done business with the landfill in the past. C. Persinger made a motion to accept the bid from RXC Tires in the amount of $10,836.00. B. Miller seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. L. Persinger reported A. Yanak completed and submitted the paperwork to the Iowa Department of Transportation for a possible gate extension. After discussion, C. Persinger made a motion to develop a Request for Proposal (RPF) for possible new scale to be included in the FY 2026-2027 budget. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman K. Zediker adjourned the meeting at 10:14 a.m. Next meeting is Tuesday December 9th, 2025 @ 9:30 a.m. These minutes are subject to change at the next meeting.
