Monona County Sanitary Landfill Agency Regular Board Meeting June 9th, 2026 Chairman Keith Zediker called the meeting to order at 9:27 a.m. Present: Keith Zediker, Kirk Rose, Becky Miller, Marilyn Longlee, Ryan Clark Logan Persinger, Secretary/Board Secretary Amanda Yanak Absent: Approval of Minutes: Board meeting minutes from May 12th, 2026 were presented by A. Yanak. B. Miller made a motion to accept the minutes. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. No further discussion. Treasurer’s Report: A. Yanak presented the expenditures and CD’s were reviewed. In May, expenditures equaled $177,951.78 and deposits equaled $43,443.69. R. Clark made a motion to accept the financial statement and the CD’s. K. Rose seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Secretary Report: A. Yanak stated Schroer and Associates will conduct the FY 25/26 audit October 1st & 2nd, 2026. Manager’s Report: L. Persinger stated highway 37 will be closed starting Friday June 12th, 2026 but the public will be able to access the transfer station. L. Persinger stated the landfill will close at noon on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 and be closed Saturday, July 4th, 2026. L. Persinger stated the Onawa New Co-op was appreciative for the lunch that was purchased for the employees for all of their help while the landfill was closed. Chairman K.
