MONONA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JUNE 12, 2025 The Monona County Board of Supervisors met in special session at 2:00 p.m. o;clock on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in the boardroom of the courthouse in Onawa, Monona County, Iowa with Chairman Fox presiding. Other Supervisors present: Tom Brouillette. Supervisor Absent: Vince Phillips. Also present was Auditor Peggy A. Rolph. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to approve the agenda. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox and Brouillette. Nays: None. Motion carried. Present to review Walker Brothers Roofing contract were Haley Bryan, Monona County Attorney; Randy Ping, Monona County Building Maintenance; Regina Smith and Michelle Matney; RML Architects. The repair/replacement of the finials were discussed. Based on the contract, one finial repair/replacement is included in the contract so the change order should only be for seven of the finials at $2,500 per finial and $200 for the base of the finial. If the finials cannot be repaired and must be replaced the County is requesting that the original finials be returned to the County. The change order for the fascia on the annex was also discussed. He metal bands on the tower were also discussed, Randy will contact the Sheriff’s department to have the drone take pictures of the metal band on the tower to see what needs to be repaired before it is painted. Michelle will contact Kyle Walker with the issues that were discussed. No action taken. It was moved by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to hereby adjourn at the hour of 3:50 p.m. o’clock. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox and Brouillette. Nays: None.
