MONONA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 2026 The Monona County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. o’clocak on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in the boardroom of the courthouse in Onawa, Monona County, Iowa with Chairman Fox presiding. Other Supervisors present: Tom Brouillette and Vince Phillips. Supervisor Absent: None. Also present was Auditor Peggy A. Rolph. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Fox, to approve the agenda. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. Secondary Roads Office Manager Deleta Huffman and Wray Wright were present for Secondary Roads business. Motion was made by Supervisor Phillips, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette, to approve soliciting/accepting quotes/bids for two dump/snowplow trucks. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Phillips, seconded by Supervisor Fox, to recess the Board of Supervisor’s meeting at 10 a.m. to convene as Drainage Trustees. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Amy Borchardt-Sick and Ashley Brown, drainage clerks, and Wray Wright were present for drainage business. It was moved by Brouillette, seconded by Phillips, to approve the monthly drainage claims. Vote on motion: Ayes: Brouillette, Phillips and Fox. Nays: None. Motion carried. The claims are on file in the drainage office. The McNeill Main was discussed, and the Board would like to have someone fly a drone this Spring to monitor the seeding that was completed on the phase I construction. Fox talked to Eric with ISG about the surface drain Rob Pekarek wants to have Brandon Albers install. It was agreed upon that the district would pay for the 80í by 18î tube recommended by ISG and Pekarek would pay for the installation and anything above or beyond the tube recommendation size. Eric with ISG will contact Albers regarding installation. The Board, on its own motion and vote, duly carried, adjourned. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette, to reconvene the Board of Supervisor’s meeting at 10:10. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Present for the RAGBRAI discussion were Kevin Ewing, Sheriff; Sandy Bubke, Zoning/Environmental Health Administrator; Abby Riesberg, Treasurer; and Wray Wright. RAGBRAI 2026 was discussed with no action taken. The Board reviewed budgets. No action taken. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Fox, to approve the minutes of January 27 and 28, 2026, as read. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Fox, to approve claims. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Phillips, to approve General Ledger Journal Entry approval for Drainage to correct accounts. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Phillips, to approve General Ledger Journal Entry approval for Auditor to correct accounts. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox, Brouillette, and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried.
