Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa November 12, 2024 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held November 12, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at the City Hall council chambers. Present were Jim Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Employees present were Karla Uhl, Teresa Steinhoff, Nate LeFebvre and Jayden McFarland. Also present was Mayor Brent Streck. Motion by Chris Blake second by Daniel Comes to approve paying the bills as presented, accepting the profit and loss report and the minutes from the previous meeting. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve the purchase of a stump cutter for $28,000.00 due to the condition of the current cutter and the number of trees needing to be removed. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Daniel Comes, second by Chris Blake to approve changing our current WAPA X/Y factor allocation to a fixed allocation. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve $6,000.00 yearly support to the little league program. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve a 6% electric rate increase starting January 1, 2025 usage due to the increase we are receiving from our electric provider. Ayes: All.
