Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa May 13, 2025 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held May 13, 2025, 12:00 noon at the City Hall council chambers. Present were Jim Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Employees present were Karla Uhl, Nate LeFebvre and Jayden McFarland. Also present was Mayor Brent Streck. Motion by Dan Comes second by Jim Else to approve paying the bills as presented, accepting the profit and loss report and the minutes from the previous meeting. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Dan Comes to hire Hiram McFarland for summer help at a rate of $15.00 per hour to start May 27. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to pay half of the little league fence repair, $1,786.06 and the City pay the remaining half. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve support to the library of $9,000.00. Ayes: All. Motion carried.
