Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa March 12, 2026 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held March 12, 2026, at noon in the City Hall council chambers. Members present were Jim Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Others in attendance were Karla Uhl, Nate LeFebvre, Mayor Brent Streck and Abby Koenigs. Motion by Daniel Comes, second by Chris Blake to approve the minutes, agenda, financial statements and payment of bills as presented. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to close the money market account at First Security Bank and put the money into the checking account. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Daniel Comes, second by Chris Blake to approve Resolution No. 3-12-2026, Regarding Fiscal Policies. Ayes: Blake, Comes, Else. Nays: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion Daniel Comes, second by Chris Blake to approve allowing Dave Schmidt an eight month repayment plan for his bill from September 2025, damages to transformer and pedestal in Bomgaars parking lot. Dave will pay $100.00/month starting in March 2026, with final bill of $93.18 October 2026. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion Daniel Comes, second by Jim Else to approve the renewal of the farm ground lease with Willow Vale Golf Club March 1,2026 through March 1, 2028. Ayes: Comes, Else. Nays: None. Abstained: Chris Blake. Motion carried. Motion Chris Blake, second by Jim Else to approve posting for summer help. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion Chris Blake, second by Jim Else to approve waiving the electric charge for six months at the Mapleton Community Development Corporation house. Revisit at the June 2026 board meeting.
