Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa June 9, 2026 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held June 9, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. in the City Hall council chambers. Members present were James R. Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Others in attendance were Ashley Mohr, Nate LeFebvre, Jayden McFarland, Teresa Steinhoff and Mayor Brent Streck. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve the agenda/minutes. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve payment of bills as presented. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to accept financial statements. All ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve a one-time credit on the utility bill for 107 Chamberlain Street for $219.64 (5,491 kw used at 4 cent credit). All ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by James Else to approve another six months waiving the electric charges for the MCDC house. Daniel Comes abstained. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second Daniel Comes to approve up to a 3% wage increase, matching what the City of Mapleton does for COL raises for FY 26/27.
