Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa December 16, 2025 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held December 16, 2025, 12:00 noon at the City Hall council chambers. Present were Jim Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Employees present were Karla Uhl, Nate LeFebvre, Teresa Steinhoff and Mayor Brent Streck. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve the financials as presented. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Daniel Comes second by Chris Blake to approve paying the bills as presented and accepting the minutes from the previous meeting. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Daniel Comes, second by Chris Blake to approve the presented audit report. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Daniel Comes, second by Jim Else to follow the city’s decision regarding health insurance renewal. Ayes: Daniel Comes, Jim Else. Abstain: Chris Blake. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve resolution 2025-12 to transfer 3% of the yearly revenue to the City of Mapleton in lieu of taxes. The amount calculated is $53,113.17. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve sharing the cost of TextMyGov notification system which is a three year contract at $2,500.00 per year and a one time start up cost of $1,000.00.
