MAPLE VALLEY-ANTHON OTO COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES December 2, 2024 President Wimmer called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM. Present: Dale Wimmer, Laurie Streck, Karen Kennedy, Jana Hamman. Absent: Jeremy Schram. Staff Present: Jeff Thelander, Andy Armstead, Kelsey Burger, and Laura Holst-Crosgrove. Kelsey Burger and Laura Holst-Crosgrove presented on behalf of the high school MTSS team. They discussed on-going work in the high school that is focused on increasing student engagement, providing subject-level relevance of studies, and growing culture in the high school building. Action Items: Kennedy motioned and Streck seconded to approve the resignations of Linda Kovarna, elementary secretary and Taylor Berg, varsity volleyball coach. Motion approved 4-0. Streck motioned and Hamman seconded to approve the appointment of Jennifer Benson and Angie Rosener as part of district SIAC team. Motion approved 4-0. President Wimmer adjourned the meeting at 6:27 PM. The board remained in exempt session to discuss employee salaries, benefits, and working conditions.
