Iowa County Treasurer’s E-Government Alliance Web Policy Group Meeting Minutes Tuesday, May 13, 2025, 2:00 PM Treasurer May School – Gateway Hotel & Conference Center, Ames, IA Roll Call: Present Members were Abby Riesberg, Amy Johnson, Alise Snyder Amy Picray, Barb Vance, Beth Gerlach, Carolyn Blum, Chad Murray, Danelle Haberman, Linda Manwarren, Lynda Hintzman, Nikki Fessler, Mark Myers, Robin Jamison, Shelly Sitzman. Present ITAT Liaison Michelle Sims. Approve Minutes from October 17, 2024: Moved by Chad Murray, seconded by Robin Jamison, all ayes. Web Policy Group Members: Web Policy Members done with their term on June 30, 2025, are Dan Zomermaand Sioux County, Dustin Johnson Clinton County, and Kristen McCombs Marion County. Incoming Web Policy Members are Barb Vance Scott County, Dan Zomermaand Sioux County, and Lynda Hintzman Black Hawk County effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029. Service Fee Review Committee: Linda Manwarren Catalis Product Line Representative will replace Marc Carr Independent Contractor on the Service Fee Review Committee. Budget: Review of proposed budget for FY 2026. Enhancements updates for FY 2025: Pending web enhancements: 1. Add fields for valuation for current tax year and future tax year for scheduled pmts. – 8 estimated hours – waiting on information from Solutions and Tyler software vendors. 2, Find a solution to prevent out-of-order payment. Example: previous year taxes are delinquent, but taxpayers pay the current year before the previous year. – 12 estimated hours – pulled enhancement back to adjust enhancement as causing issue for taxpayer when paying special assessments, 8-7-24. 3, Add a Vendor/Partner tab on website – 20 estimated hours 4. Enhance reporting criteria for escrow companies for specific parcels – TBD 5. Enhance the Library/Knowledge documents to have “preview document” instead of “download” to prevent unnecessary files accumulating on the PCs download folder taking up unnecessary space. – 5 estimated hours 6. Develop a survey link (like Survey Monkey) – 120 estimated hours 7. Enhancement for customers to verify/review parcels current mailing address when an online payment is completed, similar to the MV side. – 15 estimated hours New web enhancements: 1. The ability to schedule semi-annual payments with the customers’ choice of dates and not just the last day of the month. Completed web enhancements: 1. Automatic treasurer duties calendar reminders emailed – 40 estimated hours 2. Enhance the search criteria to include receipt number in addition to parcel number – 5 estimated hours DOT Modernization & Online Payment Impact: Discussion of unified look of individual county webpages between ICTEA and ITAT to better serve customers.
