City of Mapleton ORDINANCE NO. 482 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MAPLETON, IOWA BY AMENDING SECTION 17.06 PERTAINING TO COMPENSATION BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MAPLETON, IOWA: SECTION 1. SECTION AMENDED. Section 17.06 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Mapleton, Iowa, is hereby repealed in its entirety and replaced to read as follows: 17.06 COMPENSATION. The salary of each Council member is $50.00 for each meeting of the Council attended. SECTION 2. REPEALER. The remainder of Chapter 17 shall remain the same. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof, not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4. WHEN EFFECTIVE. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law. ***** Councilperson Joe Hogan made the motion, seconded by Benita Uhl to pass the first reading of the foregoing ordinance.
