City of Mapleton Minutes – Special Council Meeting July 16, 2026 A special meeting of the city council was held Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 5:30 pm. Roll call was taken with the following members present, Mayor Brent Streck, Abby Koenigs, Travis Kaufman, and Jacob Zawodny. Alan Nielsen and Joe Hogan were absent. Marshall Goslar, Sean Goslar, and Karen Koenigs were also present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Jacob Zawodny, second by Abby Koenigs, to approve the order of the agenda. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Jacob Zawodny, second by Abby Koenigs to approve resolution 2026-12 for the hiring of Nathan Fritz at $25 per hour. Ayes: Abby Koenigs, Jacob Zawodny, and Travis Kaufman. Nays: none. Absent: Alan Nielsen and Joe Hogan. Motion Carried.
