City of Mapleton Minutes - Special Council Meeting - April 7, 2026 The special meeting of the city council was held Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 5:15 pm. Roll call was taken with the following members present, Mayor Brent Streck, Abby Koenigs, Travis Kaufman, and Alan Nielsen. Joe Hogan and Jacob Zawodny were absent. Attorney Mike Schmiedt from Crary Huff was present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Abby Koenigs, second by Alan Nielsen to open the meeting for the maximum property tax levy. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Alan Nielsen, second by Travis Kaufman to approve the maximum property tax levy. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Abby Koenigs, second by Alan Nielsen to close the meeting. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Abby Koenigs, second by Alan Nielsen to adjourn the meeting at 5:29 pm. Ayes: All.
