City of Mapleton Minutes – Budget Workshop Meeting February 4, 2026 The budge work shop was held Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 5:30 pm. Present were Mayor Brent Streck, Travis Kaufman, Joe hogan, and Alan Nielsen. General budget amounts and issues were discussed. Specific topics that were discussed were auto read water meters for the nursing home and school which are bigger capacity meters and more expensive. The current meters are very old and not giving accurate/true readings. Water tower repairs and adding mowers were also discussed, especially if the city has to mow the cemetery this year.
