Charter Oak City Council Special Meeting April 23, 2025 The Charter Oak City Council met in special session on April 23, 2025. Mayor Peggy Staley called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Members present were Alec Castillo, Jason French, Russ Maack and Nathan Mohr. Council Member Tracy Helmhold was absent. Others in attendance were Ashley Mohr, Matt Knowles, Melinda Knowles and Nancy Rosburg. Motion French/Mohr to approve agenda, striking agenda item number three. All ayes. Motion carried. The owner of 137 Main Street, Matt Knowles, requested an extension until July 1, 2025, to come into compliance with his April 9, 2025, notice to abate nuisance. Council Member Maack made a motion to extend the time to July 1, 2025. Motion died due to lack of second. Motion Mohr/Castillo to not grant an extension beyond the original May 9, 2025, date of the nuisance abatement letter deadline. Ayes: Castillo, French, Mohr. Nays: Maack. Absent: Helmhold.
