CITY OF UTE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER REZONING ALL OF BLOCK (5) FROM RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council, City of Ute, Iowa, intends to consider proposed zoning changes for certain areas within the City limits of the City of Ute set forth below. Pursuant to Iowa Code §414.4, the City is required to hold a public hearing which hearing is set for July 11, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., in the Ute City Hall located at 130 E Main St., Ute, Iowa 51060. A request has been made to change the zoning for the property described as All of Block Five (5), in the Town of Ute, Monona County, Iowa. The property is located at 200 S Briggs Ave. It is requested to change the zoning of the above-described lot to commercial zoning. Opportunity for verbal comments will be allowed during the public hearing. Written comments may be forwarded in advance to the attention of the Ute City Clerk, 130 E Main St, Ute, Iowa 51060. All written comments received will be read aloud at the public hearing. Written protests may be made by the owners of twenty (20%) percent or more of the area of the lots included in the proposed change or by owners of twenty percent (20%) or more of the property which is located within two hundred (350) feet of the exterior boundaries of the property. Protests must be filed before or at the public hearing. A properly filed protest would require a favorable vote of at least three-fourths of all members of the Council before any change becomes effective.
