Motion made by Hanlin/Bubke to approve the agenda. All ayes. Motion made by Degen/Hanlin to approve the April 11, 2022 minutes. All ayes. Motion made by Kluender/Degen to approve the following bills. Council decided to set up a checking account under the City of Schleswig for the Christmas Cheer Committee Fund. License for seasonal decorations is required by MidAmerican Energy. NEW BUSINESS: Council was updated on the wastewater project progress. Motion by Hanlin/Kluender to approve Contractor’s Application for Pay Request #18. All ayes. Motion by Bubke/Hanlin to approve SRF Sponsored Stormwater Project amendment to owner-engineer agreement & will proceed with the biding process. Ayes: Hanlin, Bubke, Kluender, Degen. Nay: Outhouse. Public Hearing held at 7:55 p.m. on approval of 2021/2022 budget amendment. No written or oral objections. Public Hearing was closed. Motion by Degen/Bubke to approve 2021/2022 budget amendment. All ayes. Council opened & reviewed sealed bids for selling city equipment (backhoe/dump truck/air compress). Motion by Outhouse/Bubke to accept highest bids: Bentley Bihrer $16,003.00 –backhoe, Dane Nemitz $3,525.00 -1985 GMC dump truck, AJ Langenwalter $1,220.00 –air compressor. All ayes. Motion by Outhouse/Hanlin to approve street repair of (item 10) Cedar St, (item 30) Date St, & 6th street . All ayes. Motion by Bubke/Outhouse to approve 5% employee wage increase. Ayes: Hanlin, Bubke, Outhouse, Degen. Abstain: Kluender. Council discussed community building sewer backing up. Sewer pipe can be examined when the water main extension project is being done. Council discussed the property maintenance for the new lagoon site. Motion by Kluender/Degen to approve the Clerk/Treasurer Reports. All ayes. Motion by Kluender/Hanlin to adjourn at 9:06 p.m. All ayes.
