Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa September 15, 2023 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held September 15, 2023, 12:00 noon at the City Hall council chambers. Present were Jim Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Employees present was Karla Uhl, Teresa Steinhoff, Nate LeFebvre and Jayden McFarland. Also present was Mayor Brent Streck. Motion by Dan Comes second by Chris Blake to approve minutes from the previous meeting, the financial statement and payment of bills. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve yearly support of $6,000.00 to the little league program Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve hiring a student through the school’s work program at the same rate of pay as summer help allowing Nate to decide who to hire. Ayes: All.
