Mapleton Municipal Utility – Mapleton, Iowa July 12, 2022 The regular meeting of the Mapleton Municipal Electric board was held July 12, 2022, 12:00 noon at the City Hall council chambers. Present were Jim Else, Daniel Comes and Chris Blake. Employees present was Karla Uhl, Teresa Steinhoff and Nate LeFebvre. Also present was Mayor Brent Streck. Motion by Daniel Comes second by Chris Blake, to approve minutes from the previous meetings and payment of bills as presented. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Mayor Streck was present and updated the board on the city projects, Water Tower expansion and the alley between 4th and 3rd Streets by Bomgaars, the nuisance abatement with Henry McCall and the progress of demolition of 318 Main Street. Motion by Dan Comes, second by Chris Blake to approve a 3.1 percent wage increase and a $600.00 step increase to match the City’s action. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Chris Blake, second by Daniel Comes to approve the purchase price of $32,221.80 for a new pickup and $10,000.00 trade value on the previous truck. Ayes: All. Motion carried.
