Special Meeting Schleswig City Council May 22, 2023 – 7:00 P.M. Mayor Andresen called the special meeting to order. Council Members present: R. Hanlin, T. Bubke, P. Outhouse, T. Kluender and R. Degen. Motion by Bubke/Hanlin to approve the agenda. All ayes. Public Hearing at 7:08 p.m. for comments concerning a CDBG application for Under the Son Childcare. No written or oral objections. Hearing closed. Council reviewed BOA recommendation. Motion by Bubke/Hanlin to deny Nelson & Nakeya Cano Variance Request Application as presented due to oral objections. All ayes. Motion by Kluender/Bubke to rescind previous action regarding not doing street repair project for 2023/2024. An additional motion to accept Knife River’s bid for 2 nd Street with the optional pavement markings being done for 2023/2024 street repair project. Ayes: Hanlin, Bubke, Outhouse, Kluender. Nay: Degen. Motion by Hanlin/Degen to approve alley drain repair, 1 st west alley (Date St to Cedar St) by Ten Point Construction. All ayes. Motion by Outhouse/Hanlin to adjourn at 8:03 p.m. All ayes.
