NOTICE TO MONONA COUNTY IRRIGATORS: IRRIGATION WATER ON ROADWAYS In accordance with Monona County Ordinance 27 Monona County would like to call your attention to irrigation systems generating water within the county right-of-way. Irrigation spray within the right-of-way contributes to erosion and damage to the road system. Water saturates the road bed causing damage and safety concerns. Irrigation users may be held liable for any damages to the roadway. The county requests your assistance in alleviating problems by operating and maintaining your irrigation system in an efficient and effective manner. A few simple measures can go a long way in helping preserve our roadway resources. Improper use of the road right-of-way may be reported to the Monona County Secondary Roads Department, 712-433-2284.
