MONONA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 The Monona County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. o’clock on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in the boardroom of the courthouse in Onawa, Monona County, Iowa with Chairman Fox presiding. Other, Supervisors present: Tom Brouillette and Vince Phillips. Supervisor Absent: None. Also, present was Auditor Peggy A. Rolph. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to approve the agenda. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. Secondary Roads Engineer Dustin Wallis was present for Secondary Roads business. Bid opening for FY23 propane were as follows Johnson Propane $1.79 per gallon; Farm Service Cooperative $1.75 per gallon; New Coop $1.65 per gallon. Engineer Wallis will put together a bid tab. No action was taken. Motion was made by Supervisor Phillips, seconded by Supervisor Fox to approve Iowa DOT Agreement No.3-22-HSIP-SWAP-021 (E16 shoulders). Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. Discussion items were Grays Landing, patching roads, tree stumps, and evaluations. No action was taken. Abby Riesberg, Treasurer presented the Treasurerís Semi-Annual Report to the Board of Supervisors, discussion followed. Motion was made by Supervisor Phillips, seconded by Supervisor Fox to approve the Treasurers Semi-Annual Report. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. At 10:30 a.m., the Monona County Board of Supervisors convened as the Board of Canvassers for the Special School Election held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, with Commissioner of Elections Peggy A. Rolph. Deputy Auditor Sheri Streeter attended to present the Official Tally List. The Board of Canvassers found the following Charter Oak Ute School Special Election Public Measure C: Yes 24; No 9 Charter Oak Ute School Special Election Public Measure D: Yes 24; No 9 Motion was made by Supervisor Phillips, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to approve the minutes of September 13, 2022 as read. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to approve claims. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion Carried. Supervisor Phillips attended the SIMPCO meeting, he shared the information presented. Supervisor Fox attended the Monona County Board of Health meeting, he shared the information presented. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to approve General Ledger Journal Entry to correct accounts for the Assessor. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to authorize the Chairmanís signature on payroll change form for James Wigton, Director of Information Technology at the rate of $35 per hour. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. The safety policies were discussed, no action taken. The credit card policy was discussed, no action taken. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to acknowledge receipt of Clerk of Court report of fees collected for August 2022. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Phillips, seconded by Supervisor Fox to authorize the Boardís signatures on letter to TK Elevator Corporation terminating service contract. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. It was moved by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to hereby adjourn at the hour of 11:20 a.m. o’clock. Vote on motion: All Ayes.
