City of Ute REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING Monday, January 9, 2023 – City Hall 7:00 p.m The Ute City Council met with Mayor Richard Hageman in regular, open session on January 9, 2023. Council members present: Becky Miller, Ryan Pithan, Jimmy Carlson, Matt Leitz. Also present: Sue Kelm, Christy Schultz, Pat Prorok, Josh Gotto, and Steve Kuhlmann. Motion by Miller/Pithan to approve the agenda. All Ayes. MC 7:00 – Public Hearing on proposed property sale to Kyle and Christy Schultz. No written or verbal objections from the public. Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:05pm. Motion by Pithan/Leitz to approve Resolution 2023-01 – A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPERTY SALE, All Ayes. MC Building Permits Approved: None Patrick Prorok, Monona County EMA discussed hazard mitigation and FEMA funds available. He discussed keeping records off site and internet security. A city evacuation center and emergency protocol plans were discussed. Motion by Pithan/Leitz to approve the consent agenda. A. Minutes for December 22, 2022 Meeting B. Council appointed Josh Gotto to the vacant seat. All Ayes. MC Motion by Pithan/Carlson to approve Resolution 2023-03 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING MAYOR’S COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS FOR THE 2023 CALENDAR YEAR All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Pithan/Miller to approve Resolution 2023-04 - A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS FOR 2023-2024. All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Pithan/Carlson approve Resolution 2023-05 -A RESOLUTION SETTING MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT RATES FOR THE 2023 CALENDAR YEAR. All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Miller/Pithan to approve Resolution 2022-06 - A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLERK TO PAY WARRANTS/CHECKS PRIOR TO MONTHLY REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING FOR YEARS 2023-24. All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Pithan/Carlson to approve Resolution 2022-07 – A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE CITY OF UTE PROCUREMENT POLICY. All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Miller/Pithan to approve Wellmark Group Insurance Renewal Package for 2023. Lonnie to receive $1,003.29 per month for insurance. Leah to receive $568.59 per month for insurance.
