Title VI – Physical Environment, Chapter 8 SIDEWALK REGULATIONS, Section 6-8-4 Maintenance Responsibility…Exceptions, Section 6-8-5 Liability of Abutting Owner…Exceptions, 6-8-7 Repairing Defective Sidewalks…Exceptions are repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof: 6-8-4 MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITY…Exceptions An abutting owner of any public sidewalk may remove such sidewalk located within the City except for sidewalks located within one block of Main Street including sidewalks located on the north and south sides of Main Street from the east side of Lars Avenue to the west side of Day Avenue, sidewalks located on the north side of 1st Street from the east side of Monona Avenue to the west side of Day Avenue, sidewalks located on the north side of 4th Street from the east side of Padley Avenue to the west side of Day Avenue,  sidewalks located on the west side of Monona Avenue from the south side of 2nd Street to the north side of 4th Street, and sidewalks on the east side of Monona Avenue from the south side of 2nd Street to the curve on Highway 183 located at parcel 844235275008. SECTION 3.  SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.  If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4.  WHEN EFFECTIVE.  This ordinance shall be in effect on November 4, 2024 from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
