City of Mapleton ORDINANCE NO. 492 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MAPLETON, IOWA, BY AMENDING SECTION 99.01 ENTITLED SEWER SERVICE CHARGES REQUIRED An ordinance amending the Municipal Code for the City of Mapleton, Iowa, by amending provisions pertaining to sewer rental rates. BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MAPLETON, IOWA: SECTION 1. SECTION AMENDED. Chapter 99, Section 99.01, entitled Sewer Service Charges Required of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Mapleton, Iowa, is hereby repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof: 99.01 SEWER SERVICE CHARGES REQUIRED. Each customer shall pay a sewer service charge for the use of and for the service supplied by the municipal sanitary sewer system based upon the amount and rate of water consumed: Water usage Gallons per month Category per month; Sewer Rent (Monthly) User Pays only The Flat Fee or Rate Scheduled BelowFor the category into which user falls 0 to 3,000; $37.50 Flat Fee (minimum bill) 3,000 to 6,000; $43.50 Flat Fee 6,000 to 10,000; $49.50 Flat Fee 10,000 to 20,000; $56.50 Flat Fee 20,000 to 40,000; $66.50 Flat Fee Over 40,000; $66.50 PLUS $2.00 / 1,000 gallons over 40,000 SECTION 2. REPEALER. The remainder of Chapter 99 shall remain the same. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof, not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4. WHEN EFFECTIVE. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
