On Oct. 10, members of the Schleswig Volunteer Fire Department came to the Immanuel Lutheran Preschool in Schleswig to visit about fire safety and awareness. They also visited the children at Under the Son Childcare Center. Students in the morning and afternoon classes learned the technique of stop-drop-and roll as well as learning the importance of talking with their families about having a safe meeting place at their home in case of emergency. The children at the childcare center got to sat in the truck and try on their coat and helmets. Both the preschool and childcare center are thankful for the firemen and EMS members in the community.
