Spring has Sprung – Farmers Out, Be Alert

It is that time of the year when you will see farmers on the road with anhydrous ammonia tanks being delivered by agricultural production workers to the farmers’ fields.

Be cautious on rural highways for slow-moving vehicles, as seen in the photo. Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) signs are a reflective, fluorescent orange triangle with red borders, used to identify vehicles traveling at speeds of 25 mph or less. It serves as a safety warning to motorists to slow down immediately, increase following distance, and pass with caution, commonly appearing on farm machinery and construction equipment.

Be Careful, Be Safe.
