MONONA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING NOVEMBER 15, 2022 The Monona County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. o’clock on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in the boardroom of the courthouse in Onawa, Monona County, Iowa with Chairman Fox presiding. Other, Supervisors present: Tom Brouillette and Vince Phillips. Supervisor Absent: None. Also, present was Auditor Peggy A. Rolph. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to approve the agenda. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. Randy Ping, Temporary Part-time Custodian was present to update the Board on the projects he is working on. Discussion followed with no action taken. Secondary Roads Engineer Dustin Wallis was present for Secondary Roads business. Present for the road vacations were Nick Behrendt, Keith Miller, Lynnette Lee, Sue Woodward, and Ron McCord. Since the public hearing was not on the Secondary Roads agenda, the road vacations were a discussion item. A public hearing will be held at a later date. Supervisor Fox requested the total cost to upgrade Cedar Avenue. Engineer Wallis presented the costs at $13,707.79 that includes labor, material, rental and fuel. Discussion items were Verizon GPS, Grayís Landing, Mechanic Shop, and rental of the long stick. Discussion followed with no action taken. At the hour of 10:30 a.m., the Monona County Board of Supervisors convened as the Official Canvassers of the November 8, 2022 General Election with Commissioner of Elections Peggy A. Rolph. Deputy Auditor Sheri Streeter attended to present the Official Tally List. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Fox to approve claims. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion Carried. Supervisor Fox attended the Monona County Conservation meeting, he shared the information presented. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Fox to acknowledge receipt of Monona County Clerk of Court Report of fees collected for October, 2022. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion was made by Supervisor Brouillette, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to authorize the Chairmanís signature on service contract with Schumacher Elevator Company. Vote on motion: All Ayes. Motion carried. It was moved by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Brouillette to hereby adjourn at the hour of 12:20 p.m. o’clock. Vote on motion: All Ayes.
