MONONA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MARCH 31, 2025 The Monona County Board of Supervisors met in special session at 10:00 a.m. o’clock on Monday, March 31, 2025, in the boardroom of the courthouse in Onawa, Monona County, Iowa with Chairman Fox presiding. Other Supervisors present: Vince Phillips. Supervisor Absent: Tom Brouillette. Also present was Auditor Peggy A. Rolph. Motion was made by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to approve the agenda. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. At 10 a.m. it was moved by Supervisor Phillips, seconded by Supervisor Fox to open the public hearing for the FY 2026 proposed Monona County Property Tax Levies. Vote on motion: Fox and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. Present for the public hearing on the FY 2026 proposed Monona County Property Tax Levies were Rob Meyer, Jim Johnston, Vernon Melby, Rick Wiggs, Dan Neldeberg, Timothy Jessen, Toni Elmquist, Craig Timmerman, Cindy Melby, Patty McCall, Marilyn Longlee, Elizabeth Harvey, Jessica Bockelmann, Dennis McCandless, and Charlie Persinger. The proposed Monona County Property Tax Levies were discussed. No action needed. At 11:12 a.m. it was moved by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to close the public hearing for the FY 2026 proposed Monona County Property Tax Levies. Vote on motion: Ayes: Fox and Phillips. Nays: None. Motion carried. It was moved by Supervisor Fox, seconded by Supervisor Phillips to hereby adjourn at the hour of 11:15 a.m. o’clock.
