City of Ute SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING April 21, 2025 – City Hall 6:00pm – Monday The Ute City Council met with Mayor Henschen in special, open session on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 6pm in the Council Chambers with the following members present: Jimmy Carlson, Sue Kelm, Ryan Pithan. Matt Leitz arrived at 6:01pm. Absent: Josh Gotto. Also Present: Public Works Superintendent Lonnie Carlson and City Clerk Megan Peitsch. The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Mayor Henschen. Motion by JCarlson/Kelm to approve the agenda. All Ayes. MC Mayor Henschen declared this the time and place for the public hearing on the Proposed Budget Hearing for FY26 and opened the public hearing at 6:00pm. No written correspondence or verbal comments had been received. The public hearing will be left open for 10 minutes to allow any public to arrive. Matt Leitz arrived at 6:01pm. Motion by Kelm/JCarlson to approve up to $150 at Bomgaars to purchase the same spikes for the planters as last year and add moss rose seeds in the planters. All Ayes. MC Motion by Leitz/Pithan to approve the mowing contract for the lagoon and direct the Mayor to sign. All Ayes. MC The New Well Project is scheduled to begin the planning phase in the beginning of May with JEO. Motion by Leitz/JCarlson to approve payment to the USPS for the repair letter from 2021. All Ayes. MC Motion by Kelm/Leitz to close the public hearing at 6:10pm as no public arrived to comment. All Ayes. MC Motion by Pithan/Kelm to approve the resolution adopting the City of Ute’s Annual Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025 (RESOLUTION #2025-12). All Ayes.
