City of Mapleton Minutes - Special Council Meeting May 18, 2022 The special meeting of the city council was held on May 18, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. Roll call was taken with the following members present, Mayor Brent Streck, Abby Koenigs, Benita Uhl, Angie Sass and Ronnie Smith. Absent: Joe Hogan. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Abby Koenigs, second by Benita Uhl to approve the order of the agenda. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Abby Koenigs, second by Ronnie Smith to waive the three readings and adopt Ordinance 474 Amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of Mapleton, Iowa by Amending Chapter 160 Related to Flood Plain Management. Ayes: Benita Uhl, Abby Koenigs, Angie Sass and Ronnie Smith. Motion carried and Ordinance was adopted. Motion by Benita Uhl, second by Ronnie Smith to adopt the 2019 Pipeline Manual for PHMSA employees. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Benita Uhl, second by Ronnie Smith to approve passage of RESOLUTION 2022-10 Not to exceed $450,000.00 Taxable General Obligation Capital Loan Notes (ECP) fixing date for a meeting on the proposition to authorize Loan Agreement and the issuance of Notes to evidence the obligations of the City thereunder. Ayes: Ronnie Smith, Abby Koenigs, Angie Sass, Benita Uhl. Motion carried. Motion by Abby Koenigs, second by Benita Uhl to approve passage of RESOLUTION 2022-11 Not to exceed $180,000.00 Taxable General Obligation Capital Loan Notes (GCP) fixing date for a meeting on the proposition to authorize a Loan Agreement and the issuance of Notes to evidence the obligations to the City thereunder. Ayes: Ronnie Smith, Abby Koenigs, Benita Uhl, Angie Sass. Motion carried. Motion by Benita Uhl, second by Abby Koenigs to approve engagement letter with Northland Securities. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Ronnie Smith, second by Benita Uhl to approve engagement letter with Ahlers & Cooney. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Ronnie Smith, second by Benita Uhl. Ayes: All.
