CHARTER OAK-UTE COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 20, 2023 The Board of Directors of the Charter Oak-Ute School met on the above date in the Charter Oak Center with Directors Schultz, Klinker, Goslar, McAndrews (by phone), Superintendent Eggeling and Secretary Carstens were present. Director Weed was absent. Vice President Schultz called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. It was moved by Klinker, seconded by Goslar to approve the regular meeting. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Klinker to approve the consent items. Ayes all. Motion carried. Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting on January 9, 2023 Approval of the Minutes of the Joint Board Meeting on January 9, 2023 Approval of the Minutes of the Special Meeting on February 9, 2023 Approval of all the Fundraising Approvals Approval of all the Financial Reports Approval of all the Invoices for Payments Superintendent Eggeling discussed the FEH Air Conditioning and Bathroom renovations, ESSA, testing, heating in band room, SSA set at 3%, health insurance, open enrollment, Drama play on March 3, Crawford County Band on March 14, day care survey, needs assessment survey and water meter. It was moved by Goslar, seconded by McAndrews to accept Shauna Heiden’s resignation and early retirement. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Klinker, seconded by Goslar to accept the student council advisor Shelley Stallons resignation. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Klinker, seconded by McAndrews to approve the agreement with mapping strategies. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Goslar to approve the driver’s education fees set at $300.00 in district and $350.00 out of district. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by McAndrews, seconded by Klinker to approve Leila Kuhlman’s driver education contract set at $225.00 per student. Ayes all. Motion carried. The board discussed possible 2023-2024 calendar. It was moved by Klinker, seconded by Goslar to approve the 2021 Audit. Ayes all. Motion carried. It was moved by Goslar, seconded by Klinker to approve the technology purchase as presented from SHI. Ayes all. Motion carried. The board discussed future agenda items. There being no further business it was moved by Klinker, seconded by McAndrews to adjourn the meeting at 6:13 p.m. Ayes all. Motion carried.
