CHARTER OAK CITY COUNCIL EMERGENCY MEETING MINUTES AUGUST 13, 2024 The Charter Oak City Council met in an emergency meeting on August 13, 2024. Mayor Peggy Staley called the meeting to order at 7:31 PM. Members present were Alec Castillo, Ben Heyne, Russ Maack, Traci Helmhold and Nathan Mohr. Others in attendance were Ashley Mohr, Craig Warnock, Troy Davis and Jason French. Motion Mohr/Heyne to approve agenda. All ayes. Motion carried. Council discussed all the options in length regarding the emergent sewer issue that arose at 666 4th Street. Due to the extremely long sewer connection lines at 666 4th Street, the way the sewer main lines are run, where they end/begin and the placement of manholes in that area a decision was made to put in another manhole on Spruce. Motion Mohr/Helmhold to approve the city to cover the expense from the southern most manhole on Spruce to the right-of-way on NE corner of 666 4th Street property line. All ayes. Motion carried.
