City of Mapleton Minutes - Special Council Meeting April 24, 2024 The special meeting of the city council was held on April 24, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. Roll call was taken with the following members present, Benita Uhl, Jacob Zawodny, Zach Schrader, Abby Koenigs and Mayor Brent Streck. Absent was Joe Hogan. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Benita Uhl, second by Zach Schrader to approve the order of the agenda. Ayes: All. Motion carried. Motion by Jacob Zawodny, second by Abby Koenigs to open the public hearing regarding the proposed 2024-2025 budget. Ayes: All. Motion carried. There was no one in attendance at the meeting with comments and none had been received at city hall. Motion by Benita Uhl, second by Jacob Zawodny to close the public hearing. Ayes: All. Motion carried and public hearing was closed at 5:32 p.m. Motion by Abby Koenigs, second by Jacob Zawodny to approve passage of Resolution 2024-07 adopting the 2024-2025 budget. Ayes: Benita Uhl, Abby Koenigs, Jacob Zawodny and Zach Schrader. Absent: Joe Hogan. Motion carried. Motion by Benita Uhl, second by Zach Schrader to approving giving Marshall Goslar the authority to hire two summer mowers at $14.00 per hour. Ayes: All. Motion carried.
